Struggling to stay afloat

In a sea of memories

With every word my eyes do read

Blackness is all that I can see.

Burying thoughts six feet under

Digging a deeper,darker hole

Yet they rise like rotting zombies

To chew away at my tender soul.

Clouding vision chases away

All useless hope of another day

I will try to keep the zombies at bay

With this sharp knife and haunting decay.
