The Dying of the Light
"What once was, can be again A dream of love, to hold against the dying of the Light, the waiting Darkness of the night.." (from the book "Merlin's Legacy" by Quinn Taylor Evans) The Dying of the Light What once was, can be again A dream of love to hold against the dying of the Light, the waiting Darkness of the night.. What once was, shall be again A warmth to cherish To remember after the death of the Light to fight against the Darkness of the night.. What say you, my prince Dare you slay those dragons That threaten the Light? Dare you hold against The Darkness of the night? What have you, milord? Shall you lay siege to my heart? Dare you defy your king To save me from the night dark? What once was, must be again Fortify your defenses Do not let the Darkness reign Cower not from the dying of the Light Stand your ground, brandish your sword And FIGHT.
