Bitter

______________________________

Bitter in your youth

Hateful in old age

You never knew the truth

Of your gilded cage.

Open your eyes dear

Banish the lies

There is no need to fear

All good things must die.

Bitterness a cold dessert

Rage fuels your appetite

Eat your fill of the dirt

Drink from the well of spite.

Open your heart, love

Dare to be the brave one

What is there to be afraid of?

When your life is already done.

Bitter worms crawl inside

Wiggling, squirming, in your brain

Rotten heart, from youth til now

Save yourself from the throes of pain.
