A
poem is never finished, only abandoned. ~Paul Valry

Symphony of Soul
Prayers unanswered and songs unsung Lost in the minds of the old and the young Promises broken because someone forgot Hidden away in the potions you bought Dreams unheard for the wail of the wind Angry voices screaming When will it end? A spiritual journey never to be ended Two broken hearts never to be mended An innocent, childish game of will to be fought Endless, countless ideas to be thought. Needless time wasting on my hands A hidden crystal buried in the sands A sparkling diamond lost in the rough Now I can see I wasnt so tough. Would you lock a sacred bird inside a gilded cage? How do you break a heart of stone so full of rage? When the beauty collapses and you have to turn the page You remember the fantasies of the youth as you age. raw || truth |
